Harrold E. QUERFELD

DEATH OF A CHILD.
Harrold Earl QUERFELD, son of Mr. and Mrs. William QUERFELD, was born September 23, 1907, and departed this life at 4 p.m., April 13, 1908, the cause of his death being gastritis.
Only about 7 months was he permitted to gladden the hearts of and home of his parents. Always a happy and contented child, he gave promise of that fuller development that makes glad the heart of every true parent. Little Dale, his older brother, too young yet to understand the mystery of death, will miss so much by this early separation.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, by Rev. L. B. Pickerell of DeLand, former pastor of the Christian church, who spoke briefly, but in deep and sympathetic feeling, to the large gathering of friends and relatives upon the hope of the resurrection.
The original poem by Elder Pickerell, too long for publication in this issue, was nevertheless, appreciated by the sorrowing father and mother and beloved friends. Interment was made in Woodlawn cemetery.

Infant Son Dies.
A little son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Herman QUERFELD last Sunday. Although apparently a strong healthy babe, it only lived until Tuesday. The child was christened Richard Calhoun. Funeral services were held Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Albert Schwartz. Interment in Woodlawn.
Abel G. QUIGG

The older citizens of Clinton and this county will remember Abel G. QUIGG, who came to this city in the year 1857 and lived here till about 1878, when he moved to Chicago and made his home with his son. Mr. Quigg was the father of Mrs. S. F. LEWIS, and the grandfather of Mr. John LEWIS, cashier in Warner & Co.’s bank. Mr. Quigg died in Chicago a few days ago at the home of his son. He was born in the last century, 1797, and when he died he was ninety-six years old. The old gentleman was remarkably vigorous for one of his years till a short time before his death.

Gertrude QUIGLEY

Gertrude, daughter of B. F. and Mary E. QUIGLEY, died at her parents’ home west of the city Sunday, at the age of 6 years, 4 months and 26 days. The funeral took place on Monday, interment in Woodlawn cemetery, conducted by Rev. D. MacArthur.
William QUINTON

Death of William Quinton.
At 2 a.m. last Saturday occurred the death of William QUINTON, two and one-half miles southwest of Heyworth, of the grippe, after an illness of but a [few] days. He leaves a wife and three children, one brother and three sisters to mourn his death. Mr. Quinton was one of McLean County’s best citizens. Remains were buried at the Heyworth cemetery.
