FINGER - HARVEY.

Mr. Dan FINGER and Miss Lorraine HARVEY were quietly married Monday, Feb. 7th.  Both young people have grown up in this vicinity and are very well known.  Mrs. Finger is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. HARVEY and Mr. Finger is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles FINGER.

FINGER - CUNNINGHAM.

Miss Ernestine CUNNINGHAM and Mr. Charles FINGER, Jr., both of Waynesvlle, were quietly married Saturday, June 1, at 3 p.m.  The ceremony was performed by Dr. Asa J. Ferry, pastor of the Edgewater Presbyterian church in Chicago.  Misses Eva and Nella Bray were attendants of the couple.  After the ceremony the couple visited in the home of the Bray sisters, both former teachers of the bride, where a lovely three-course wedding dinner was served.  They remained in the city at the Morrison hotel until Sunday evening when they returned to Waynesville.  The bride wore a national blue georgette and brocaded chiffon wedding gown with accessories to match.

The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John CUNNINGHAM and was born and reared at Waynesville.  She is a graduate of the Waynesville Township High School with the class of 1926.  She attended the Illinois State Normal University for one year and then taught the Swisher school near Dewitt one term and the past year was employed at the Maple Grove school, two miles east of Waynesville, where she is re-employed to teach the coming term.  The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles FINGER, Sr.  He was born and reared near Waynesville and is a graduate of the Waynesville Township High School with the class of 1925.  He attended Brown’s Business College in Bloomington, of which he is also a graduate.  The following year he was employed as bookkeeper for the MacMillian Radio Corporation in Chicago.  Owing to the illness of his father he was called home for the farming season.  The past winter he was employed at the Bunn-Humphrey’s Wholesale Company in Bloomington.  At present he and his brother, Dan, are in the trucking business.

The young couple will reside at 307 W. Chestnut St., apartment three, Bloomington, Illinois, where Mrs. Finger will attend Normal University during the summer, after which they will be at home in Waynesville.

FOX - RICH.

Miss Helen RICH and Frank FOX were quietly married Saturday afternoon, November 2nd, at the Christian parsonage with the Rev. H. S. Mavity officiating.  Mrs. Fox is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank RICH.  She was born and raised in Waynesville.  Mr. Fox is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John FOX and has lived in Waynesville for several years.  They were attended by the groom’s sister, Miss Viola Fox, and George Robb.  The young couple will make their home here.

To Reside in Joy.

The marriage of Miss Imogene LaMar CONNELL of Waynesville to Ralph C. HARNEY occurred at 10 a.m. Sunday [June 30] at the home of the bride’s brother, Ralph P. Connell, in Atlanta.  Dr. A. E. Piersel of the Illinois Wesleyan university officiated, in the presence of several of the immediate relatives.

The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Connell of Waynesville, where she was born and reared.  She is a graduate of the Waynesville Township high school and also of Wesleyan university in the class of 1925.  Since her graduation she has been a teacher in the high school at Joy.

The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. T.J. Harney of Joy, and he received his higher education at the Bradley Polytechnic institute at Peoria.  After a brief honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Harney will begin housekeeping at Joy, where the bridegroom will be associated in business with his brother.

Miss Telete Bradshaw, Donald Upton Married.

Miss Telete BRADSHAW, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Bradshaw, 20 Magoun street, and Donald UPTON of Waynesville, were married at ? p.m. Sunday. The ceremony was performed at the home of the brides’s parents by the Rev. Myrtle Park Storm of Minier.

Miss Doris Johnson and Bus Bradshaw, brother of the bride, were the attendants. The bride wore a gown of powder blue crepe with white accessories. Miss Johnson wore a dress of pink. Both Mr. and Mrs. Upton are employed in Bloomington.

WIKLE-PICKERELL.

Miss Eula PICKERELL and Donald WIKLE, prominent young people, were quietly married Tuesday evening at the home of Rev. H. S. Mavity.

Mrs. Wikle is a granddaughter of John Harris with whom she has always made her home. She is a graduate of the Waynesville Township High School. Mr. Wikle is the eldest son of Mrs. Cora Wikle and has spent his entire life in Waynesville. He received his education in the Waynesville schools and for several years has worked at the barber trade.

Both young people are well and favorably known here and the Record joins with their many friends in congratulations.

Harwood-Teal Marriage Perormed in Effingham.

WAYNESVILLE.–Winston HARWOOD and Miss Helen TEAL were married Saturday at the Methodist parsonage in Effingham. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Bruce. The bride is the daughter of J. M. Teal, and Mr. Harwood is the son of Rev. Franklin Harwood of Waynesville. Mr. Harwood is teaching in the Mason City grade school.
