MARRIED.

—On Thursday evening last, at the residence of the bride’s father, Mr. G. W. Gideon, by Rev. Mr. Thomas, Mr. William CLAGG to Miss Mary Elizabeth GIDEON.

Our earnest and heartfelt wish is that the lives of the youthful and happy couple may be as bright and serene as a summer cloud—may their whole existence be one continual round of unalloyed happiness and pleasure.  We are indeed pleased to record this fact of the union of "two souls with but one single thought," and in wishing the fair bride and gallant bridegroom all the happiness which it is possible to fall to the lot of mortals, we but echo the sentiments of their hosts of friends.

"I saw two clouds in the morning,
   Tinged by the rising sun.
And in the dawn they floated on,
   And mingled into one."

We have received a delicious cake, for which the happy and generous donors will please accept our warm thanks and kind wishes for their future welfare.

His sky all sunshine— bright and clear,
