HOUSE PARTLY BURNED.

About 11 o'clock Sunday morning the residence of L.K. RICHARDSON on East Washington Street was found to be on fire. The engineer at the water works was not notified of the fire and when the firemen were ready to throw water on the flames there was not enough pressure to force the water through the 900 feet hose that had been laid. The engineer was then notified by phone and there was soon enough pressure and the fire was under control in a few minutes. The roof was about all burned, and there was much damage done with water. The household goods were all nearly carried out. The loss was about $500, covered by insurance. While the house is being repaired the family will occupy the Michael property in the 1900 block on East Main street.
