JAMES CARR'S ARM AMPUTATED.

The many friends of James CARR, the father of Mrs. Fred ANGER of this city, will be pleased to learn that he has gone successfully through an operation for the amputation of his right forearm, the operating surgeons being Drs. C. S. EDMONSON and Dr. O. B. EDMONSON. The right hand had been undergoing a most peculiar affliction, the bones decaying and the arteries bursting. After consulting specialists in Chicago it was found that amputation was absolutely necessary in order to preserve the life of the patient. He will remain at the home of his son-in-law until he has fully recovered from the effects of the operation.
