Martha Jones
Martha was born June 1, 1843 in Tennessee. She died April 11, 1910 at DeWitt, Illinois. She is buried in Campground Cemetery, near Farmer City between her two husbands. Martha came to DeWitt County with her brother, James and sisters, Margurite and Ann. On June 30, 1866 at Clinton, Illinois, she married Frances Yates. Frances was a Civil War veteran having served in Co. B. 107th Illinios Infantry. They had two children, a boy named Benny and a girl named Mary. Both died young and are buried in Campground Cemetery. Martha married Joseph Bateson about 1872. They had four children.
