The Johnson P. Sutton Family
This is a picture of the Johnson P. Sutton family, date unknown, probably taken in Bates County, Missouri. They moved to Missouri from Harp Township, DeWitt County, Illinois, sometime after 1891. Johnson was the son of Peter J. and Nancy A. (Clagg) Sutton and his wife, Rachel, was the daughter of Nathaniel and Susannah (Swisher) Nowlin. Johnson and Rachel's four children were Ira L., Anna, Alice and Ethel Sutton.
