Lieutenant Israel H. Eldridge
Israel H. ELDRIDGE was born in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey. He married Clarinda Lillard October 10, 1861, in DeWitt County, Illinois. He was commissioned Lieutenant in the 17th Cavalry in 1863. In the 1880 census, Israel and Clarinda were living in Labette, Kansas, with their six children: Aaron, Clara, Rebecca, Israel, Oscar and Mabel.
