Charles Elbert and Agnes Evans
Charles Elbert Evans was born in Barnett Township, DeWitt County, Illinois in 1879. He was the son of John Anderson and Gabriella (Shields) Evans. His mother died in 1881 and was buried in Old Union Cemetery. His father then married Ada Hunter, and they are both buried in Olio Cemetery, in Eureka, Illinois. Charles was adopted in 1886 by Michael Ellington and Charles' grandmother Rebecca (Arnold) Evans Bowles Henry Ellington. Charles married Agnes Ellen Esterbrook, who was born in 1889 in Nebraska and was the daughter of Abel and Philena (Baker) Esterbrook. Charles died in 1954 in De Baca County, New Mexico, and Agnes died in 1965 in Curry County, New Mexico. They are both buried in Ft. Sumner Cemetery in De Baca County, New Mexico.
